Rural livelihood training for women held in GH

TURA: Village organisation training by the Meghalaya State Rural Livelihood Society (MSRLS) was conducted on Friday at Cherasu Bazar Gittim of Dobu under Songsak Block in East Garo Hills.
Theobjectives of the training for women in rural areas was aimed at strengthening Self Help Groups by forming Village Organisations with combination of 5 SHG’s from the same village.
The SHGs are promoted by the Government and all women from rural areas are given chance to join any one of SHGs for training and development, so as to prospective entrepreneur and skilled worker. The trainings are conducted so that SHGs can facilitate to carry out manufacturing and trading activities, arranging marketing facilities while the Government will produce to the product of SHGs, arrange for enhancing the capacity of women in terms of leadership quality and arranging for the management of SHGs by themselves so as to have administrative capacity.
