Theft
Panelal Das Purkayastha of Khliehriat West in East Jaintia Hills lodged a complaint that on September 3, unknown miscreants broke into his shop and stole wrist watches, mobile phones, memory cards, pen drives, etc., valued around Rs. 6 lakh.
Jeho Ramfangliana of Happy Valley, Shillong lodged a complaint that on September 2, unknown miscreants stole two LPG cylinders from the house of his cousin brother.
Car pelted with stones
Phrangki Rynjah, Doloi, Elaka Muskut in West Jaintia Hills lodged a complaint that on September 3 around 4 pm, Ill Siangshai along with three others, blocked the road with boulders and pelted stones at his vehicle (ML-04A-6711) causing damage to window glass of the vehicle.
Failed bank robbery
David Kharkongor of Madanrting, Shillong lodged a complaint that September 3, unknown miscreants broke into the premises of Syndicate Bank, Happy Valley Branch, Shillong and attempted to break open the safe, but failed to open the same.
Attempt to murder
Md. Nur Zamal Islam lodged a complaint that on August 31 around 5.30 pm, Mir Hussain along with his accomplices trespassed into the house of the complainant and attempted to murder him with sharp objects. However, his family members intervened and rescued him safely.
One killed, two injured in accident
On August 26, a motorcycle (ML-14-1667) ridden by Hamidul Islam met with an accident at Durga Sarif, Mahendraganj (SWGH). As a result, the pillion rider Sobura Begum (wife of Hamidul Islam) sustained injuries and was shifted to CHC Mahendraganj from where she was referred to CH Tura for better treatment but later succumbed to her injuries.
Denis Dkhar (42) met with an accident when his scooty skid and he fell in Rynjah near the Petrol pump on Wednesday.The victim sustained injuries and was shifted to Bethany hospital by 108 Laitumkhrah based ambulance.
In a hit and run case Abdul Alim (28) was hit by an alto in Lawmali near Dez Restaurant on Wednesday. He sustained injuries and was shifted to Civil Hospital by 108 Lawmali based ambulance.
