Woman’s body found in EJH, police suspect murder

SHILLONG: Police recently recovered a body of an unidentified woman at Ampawtei Area in Ratacherra, East Jaintia Hills.
Headman of Ratacherra village lodged a complaint that on August 30 around 3 pm, a female body was found lying on the roadside. The deceased is suspected to have been murdered.When contacted, police said that as per the postmortem report, she was strangulated.
Police also suspect that the body was probably brought from Assam and was dumped on the spot from a vehicle.
