Meghalaya Sports Testing and Talent Identification to be held
TURA: The Meghalaya Sports Testing and Talent Identification Programme will be conducted at Dikki Bandi Stadium, Dakopgre in Tura on September 29. Interested athletes and players have been requested to report at Dikki Bandi Stadium at 8:30 AM sharp. The participating athletes or players should be under the age group of 6 years to 18 years only, an official release said. The programme is being organised by the District Sports Officer, West Garo Hills, Tura.
Umpling SC and Sunriser enter PFR Veteran Cup Final
SHILLONG: Umpling SC and Sunriser are the two teams who qualify to the Final of the PFR Veteran Cup after they have register win in the Semi Final match which was held on Thursday at Malki Ground. In the first semi final match played between Umpling SC against Friends Utd, the match ended in a draw with 1-1 goal. But in the tie breaker Umpling SC defeated Friends Utd by 4-3. In the second semi final match played between Sunriser and Umsawkhwan, Sunriser defeated Umsawkhwan by 2-1 goal in which Pynskhem Garod has score both the goals of Sunrisers. Sunriser will face Umpling SC in the Final on the Septermber 25 at Malki Ground.
