Nagaland BJP accuses NPF of dividing state

KOHIMA: Nagaland unit of BJP has said the demand for a seperate statehood for Eastern Nagaland and teacher’s appointment issue flared-up because of the state government’s “step motherly treatment” of the Eastern Nagaland for many years.

BJP General Secretary Yambos Murry accused the ruling Naga Peoples Front (NPF) of dividing the state into ‘Eastern and Southern Nagaland’ by virtue of the party’s ‘pro-favouritism policy.’ It claimed that the double-trouble in the form of demand for a separate statehood and teachers appointment issue that had recently thrown Eastern Nagaland areas into turmoil.
