Conrad attends IYCS meet

SHILLONG: Opposition leader in the Meghalaya Assembly Conrad K Sangma on Thursday attended the 14th International Young Catholic Students (IYCS) World Council as the chief guest at St. Michael School auditorium, New Delhi.

Sangma delivered a speech on “Crisis and conflicts in the world – students offering hope”.

After the function, he interacted with the students from various countries who shared their views, problems and challenges of the Youths today.

Sangma and other also members planted a tree.

The IYCS is celebrating its 65th anniversary from June 15 to 26 in India.

IYCS is an International Catholic Organisation(ICO) recognized by the Vatican. In this world Council 120 students from 80 member countries and 30 students from India are participating. Father Charles Menezes is the National Director of YCS/YSM, India who is hosting the event.
