JOWAI: The re-development and construction of Iawmusiang market the Centrally-sponsored market project in Jaintia hills is likely to see the light of the day within March next.
JHADC Chief Executive Member, Lamdibok Sumer, informed a team of FKJGP activists, who called on him on Thursday, that the PWD has been asked to address all necessary steps to start the construction within March.
Sumer also informed that due to inflation of construction matertials against the old schedule of the project, the PWD will take up the construction of only four of the six storeys proposed in the DPR.
The Centre throught the DoNER Ministry had sanctioned the Rs 20.09-crore project in 2001-02.
