Resubelpara on week long ‘clean mission’

TURA: Resubelpara Town in North Garo Hills is set to see a change with regard to cleanliness after the completion of the five day Awareness Programe on Solid Waste cum Cleaning drive which is being organized by the Resubelpara Municipal Board (RMB) under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan from October 8 to 12.

The programme which is being held in all areas under the Resubelpara Municipal Area will include the segregation of waste and the distribution dustbins in some localities. The RMB also plans to take up some localities as a ‘model village’.

Speaking about the programme, RMB Chairman, Sengnab Momin informed that the people were responding positively to the initiative.

“We are getting positive response from the public and hoping to bring some changes in the near future. We would also like to urge all the stakeholders to cooperate with us in the near future,” Momin said.
