Run for Martyrs in Ri Bhoi

NONGPOH: Ri Bhoi police conducted ‘Run for Martyrs’ in honour of slain police personnel on Saturday.
More than 80 police personnel participated in the 6km marathon. That started from State Sports Council, Indoor Stadium, Saiden and culminated at Indoor Stadium, Nongpoh. Senior officers like DSP (Headquarters) VD Sangahiwot Rymbai, DSP (Traffic) Dangsan Khyriem and DSP (Crime) Shoster Marsing were also present.
In the general category, John Shylla emerged as winner while Nobet Inghi and Dhanto Rabha took the second and third places, respectively. In the RC category, Dhumland Marwein bagged the first position followed by Lammiki Wann and Marbiangki Suchiang as first and second runners-up. In the women’s category, Dakahi Kyndait emerged victorious followed by Pynshaibha Sari and Lalitha A Marak in the second and third positions.
