KHADC approves budget

SHILLONG: The KHADC has approved the deficit budget of Rs 28,320 for the current fiscal year of 2011-2012 on the final day of the budget session here on Thursday.

The estimate, which was tabled during the inaugural day of the budget session, had indicated the total plan expenditure at Rs 57,36,64,240 while the revenue, which the Council would receive, is Rs 57,36,35,920, a deficit of Rs 28,320.

Civil Works and Development department got the highest allocation of Rs 28.89 crore. Other departments having major allocations are General Administration (Rs 13.89 crore), Forest Administration (Rs 4.19 crore) and Revenue and Finance (Rs 3.24 crore).
