Meghalaya football coach completes AFC B License course

SHILLONG: State football coach Bobby L Nongbet has completed the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) B License coaching course from Manipur which was held in December last. Nongbet is only the third football coach from the State who holds the AFC B-License after prominent State football coach and Jaintia Hills District Sports Officer (DSO) Hering Shangpliang and Shillong Lajong FC present assistant coach Thangboi Shingto. When contacted, Nongbet said that the most memorable stint of his coaching career was his experience as an assistant coach with Shangpliang for Shillong Lajong FC. “It will always be an honour and pleasure working with him (Shangpliang),” the State football coach said. It may be mentioned that Nongbet has also completed his Diploma in International Coaching Course in Football from Budapest, Hungary and Diploma in football coaching from National institute of Sports (NIS), Kolkata.
