Office bearers
The biennial conference of the All India Postal Employees Union, Group C, Meghalaya Division, Shillong was held on Monday where new office bearers were elected for the next term. The elected members are president Lawrence Kharbani, vice-presidents Rogers Warlarpih, Hitesh Saikia, Rishan Khyriem among other members.
SP notice
The West Garo Hills SP has issued a notice against an absconder who has POCSO charges against him. Chalseng Ch Marak is a resident of Chandmary in Tura.
Financial aid
The Deputy Commissioner of East Jaintia Hills has invited proposals from various organisations and SHGs for availing of financial assistance under the Chief Minister Youth Development scheme to conduct programmes, including festivals and counselling. Proposals have to be sent in plain paper along with the details of the activities and objectives. Registration certificate has to be submitted to the District Planning Officer on or before November 2.
Alumni meet
Shillong Vidyalaya Alumni Association will organise a special interactive meet on the school premises on October 27.
