SHILLONG: Emotions ran high when the first lady shed tears before Agnes Kharshiing and Amita Sangma when she and Meghalaya Governor Tathagata Roy visited them at NEIGRIHMS.
Later, with the condition of Agnes improving, she was shifted to the separate ICU surgery ward from the intensive critical care unit.
Brother of Agnes, John Kharshiing said the first lady, Anuradha Roy, wept when she met Agnes and Amita.
Amita, who also shed tears, told them what happened on November 8.
John said Agnes thanked the governor for his visit.
Earlier, when Amita met Agnes at the intensive critical care unit, the former, who tried to protect Agnes during the attack, broke down.
