SHILLONG: The Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) CEM, HS Shylla said there was no provision for re-imbursement of medical expenditure of the staff of the council citing shortage of funds.

Replying to a supplementary query raised by People’s Democratic Front (PDF) MDC, James B. Basaiawmoit, Shylla said the source of funding was very less.

Another PDF MDC and former CEM, PN Syiem asked whether the Executive Committee (EC) had any intention to find out ways and means to provide the reimbursement.

To this Shylla said the fund position of the council was limited and the EC was moving cautiously.

On the other hand, MDC Grace Mary Kharpuri asked whether the Executive Committee had any plan to disburse the pending arrear due to the Council employees.

To this, Shylla said the matter was subjected to the availability of fund.
