SHILLONG: A good batting performance saw Meghalaya take a 19-run first innings lead over Puducherry with four wickets still in hand in their U-19 Cooch Behar Trophy plate group match in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, on Tuesday. Starting the second day on 8/1 in reply to Puducherry’s 188 all out, Meghalaya reached 207/6 at stumps. Hrithik Sharma (43) and wicketkeeper Ankit Kumar Singh (69) put on 100 runs for the second wicket. Both batsmen were then dismissed, but Meghalaya benefited from another good partnership – this time between Raghav Kapur and Amankumar, who put on 58 for the fifth wicket.  Amankumar was out for 29, but Raghav remains at the crease on 46 and will look to get his half-century on Wednesday.
