6 coal-laden trucks detained

JOWAI: East Jaintia Hills Police detected six coal-laden trucks in the district on Wednesday.
While conducting a checking, Lumshnong police along with the In-charge of Umkiang Police Outpost found some trucks covered with tarpaulin stranded at Malidor along the National Highway. On investigating, it was learnt that six trucks were loaded with coal for illegal transports to Barak Valley Assam.
Police seized all the trucks with registration number AS11 AC 6499, AS11 CC 9516, AS01 DC 6882, NL01 AC 0685, AS01 EC 7413, AS11 AC 8386.
