SHILLONG: The People’s Democratic Front (PDF) has confirmed the names of its office bearers in East Jaintia Hills in a meeting held in Khliehriat with an aim to expand its base in the district before the district council election.
Cabinet Minister and PDF legislator Banteidor Lyngdoh, PDF MLA from Sohra Gavin M Mylliem, party president Ivanlumlang Marbaniang, general secretary Auspicious Lyngdoh Mawphlang and others were present at the meeting.
Lyngdoh, in his speech laid emphasis on properly selecting political parties and not to blindly follow an entity that has no principles.
He sought the cooperation of the newly elected party functionaries and urged them to highlight the party’s principles to people.
The office bearers are president Shiborlang Lamare, vice president Sambha Pakem, working president Peristar Rymbai and general secretary Bisharbha Pala, among others.
