SHILLONG: The Hynniewtrep Achik National Movement (HANM) central body has demanded the state government to act fast on the issue relating to influx and to immediately implement the work permit in its true spirit.

In a statement issued here on Tuesday, HANM central body president L Kharbani said increase in influx has posed great problem with respect to law and order in the state and especially to the daily wage earners of the state who are left jobless with the entry of people from outside without work permits.

In respect to this, the association submitted a memorandum to the Home Minister HDR Lyngdoh on Tuesday demanding immediate intervention into the entry of illegal migrants to the state.
