Assam Rifles distributes solar street lights

SHILLONG: Under the Civic Action Programme, Headquarters Directorate General Assam Rifles installed 28 solar street lights in three villages of East Khasi Hills district on December 29.
Under the project, the Assam Rifles distributed 6 solar street lights at Laitlum, 12 at Umiew Maw-U-Sam and 10 at Umtngew Village in the vicinity of Smit.
The project was inaugurated by Colonel J P Sattigiri, Commandant, DGAR FIU on behalf of the Director General Assam Rifles at these villages.
