SHILLONG: BJP MLA Sanbor Shullai has inaugurated a PWD road linking the existing motorable road at Mynsain in Lower Lumparing.
The Rs 77.13-lakh road was opened on Saturday.
Shullai also held two public meetings in Laban and Lumparing to discuss the grievances of residents.
There were discussions on improvement of water supply, repairing and renovation of PWD roads and drains and non-functional street lights in the Greater Laban, Greater Lumparing and Greater Cantonment areas.
A resolution was adopted that said two weeks’ time will be given to all departments concerned to address the issues.
The meeting in Lumparing was also attended by officials of PHE, Shillong Municipal Board, PWD, MePDCL and members of local NGOs.
