SHILLONG: A person identified as Manu Masih, who allegedly assaulted a resident of Pohkseh, was arrested on Monday.
In this connection, a delegation of Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC) met victim Pynhun Lyngdoh Mawphlang on Monday who was allegedly beaten up by unknown miscreants on Sunday at Them Iew Mawlong. A member of the HYC said Pynhun and his friend did not know the culprits. Stating that they did not want a repeat of last year’s riots arising out of an assault case, the HYC approached the police with a demand to take action against the culprits for a fair investigation.
