Seminar on NE as gateway to SE Asia

SHILLONG: Assam Rifles held a seminar on the topic “North East India: Pivotal Role as Gateway to South East Asia” in the city on Monday.
Governor Tathagata Roy delivered the keynote address as the chief guest of the programme.
The seminar was held in order to laud the internal and external dynamics affecting the region and to facilitate the stakeholders’ interest in making North East India a gateway to South East Asia.The speakers and panellists for the seminar included Lt General AK Sahni (retired), , Lt General PR Kumar (retired), Major General RPS Bhadauria (retired) and Major General BK Sharma (retired).
Also, officers of Assam Rifles, Air Force, BSF, CRPF, SSB and others attended the seminar.
