Further details yet to be revealed on sexual abuse of minor

 TURA: Tura Police are yet to divulge further details into the recent incident of sexual abuse on a toddler by a grown man in Tura for obvious reasons which could affect the case.

 A three year old minor was sexually abused by the accused at a particular locality in the heart of Tura Town. The incident came to light after the parents of the victim filed an FIR with the Tura Police Station on March 22, following which the accused was immediately arrested. Outside sources have however informed that the accused hails from the same neighborhood as the victim.

 West Garo Hills Superintendent of Police (SP), Dr M G R Kumar, without revealing further details confirmed the incident and said that investigation is on into the case.

 “We cannot reveal any more information at this juncture other than that the accused has been arrested and all necessary formalities have been completed. The accused was arrested under the POCSO Act and we are working on the case,” SP Dr M G R Kumar said.
