NPP fails to find candidates for Assam seats

Guwahati: After having initially announced of contesting all 14 Lok Sabha seats in Assam, Conrad Sangma’s National People’s Party (NPP) has been unable to find ‘eligible’ candidates.
An NPP source said here on Tuesday that the party will be contesting in about six constituencies.
The party has confirmed candidature in Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Kaliabor, Tezpur, Silchar and Barpeta. It is still undecided on fighting the Gauhati seat. (UNI)
