Programme
The Women Cell of Lady Keane College is organising a health camp on Menstrual Health and Hygiene for the students as part of the celebration of International Women’s Day in the college campus on April 4 at 10 am. The programme will include a march by the students as well as screening of the Oscar movie Period. End of sentence.
Dry days
The District Election Officer of East Khasi Hills declared April 9, 10 and 11 April as dry days. It warned that no spirituous, fermented or intoxicating liquor of any kind should be sold or distributed at hotels, eating houses, taverns, shops, public or private, and within polling areas.The DEO also declared May 23, the day of counting of votes in the district, as dry day.
Deposit of arms
The District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills District, Shillong has directed all license holders to deposit their Arms and Weapons without fail, in the nearest Police Station, Outpost, Beat House on account of the ensuing Lok Sabha polls in Shillong Constituency. Non-compliance of the order will result in imposition of penalties.
Relocated
The headquarter of the Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM) which was earlier located at Jaiaw Lower Lansonalane, has now been relocated to two new addresses located at Mawlai Nonglum and Lower Mawprem.
