SHILLONG: The cabinet did not take up the draft amendments to the Meghalaya Residents Safety and Security Act on Monday as more points will have to be incorporated.
An official source said on Monday that the matter was informally discussed, but there are more provisions which needed to be included and hence it was not taken up officially.
Home Minister James Sangma said that since the amendments are still in the drafting stage, the matter will be taken up later.
