Rs 2.16 crore seized in city

SHILLONG: In a possible money laundering case, Shillong police have seized Rs 2.16 crore from a person here in the city.
Sources said that the person had brought the money from Guwahati and he was supposed to hand it over to someone here in Laban. The details of the case are likely to be shared by the police on Friday with the media.
Sources said that the money has been handed over to IT department. Further details are still awaited.
