SHILLONG: In a suspected dowry related case, one Jumma Dutta has lodged a physical torture complaint at Lumdiengjri Police Station (PS) against her husband Pankaj Dutta and her in-laws.
Jumma, who was married to Pankaj in 2010, alleged that on March 1 her in-laws and her husband tortured her physically and mentally. Again on March 10, they had forcibly obtained her signature on a blank stamp paper after threatening her with dire consequences.
