TURA: Close aide of former ANVC-B chairman, Wilver Danggo Marak, who was accused by families of three student leaders of illegal entry into their homes that allegedly led to threats and molestation, has denied the charges.
Wilver, who stands co-accused in the three FIRs filed by the family members of the student leaders, has claimed that the charges are fabricated and aimed at halting the business projects of Bernard Rimpu Marak.
“GLR pharmaceutical firm is run by Bernard Marak and I look after the business. The allegations are intended to divert the case which Bernard had filed against them for torching his residence-cum-resort at Edenbari. On that fateful night I was not with Bernard Marak,” claimed Wilver.
He added that the NGOs had attacked GLR earlier on May 1, 2018 with the motive to close down the business.
“I am one of the witnesses against them. Till date they have not been able to close down the firm and the case is still pending with the High Court,” stated Rimpu’s aide as he threatened to file a defamation case in court against the student leaders.
