NGO wants ban on use of plastic below 50 microns

SHILLONG: The Go Green Meghalaya Foundation Society has requested plastic traders to not sell plastic bags that are below 50 microns.
In a statement issued here, the organisation said it will be alert and vigilant to not allow traders to sell plastic bags below 50 microns and sought the cooperation of traders and sellers.
Meanwhile, the organisation elected its members on June 28 which included Chairman William C Khongsit, General Secretary Phillbi Lyngdoh, Finance Secretary Kitbok Marbaniang and Publicity Secretary Lamboklang Kharpuri.
