Sanbor inaugurates PWD projects in city
SHILLONG: The Monitoring Cum Implementation Committee (MCIC), in collaboration with the Dorbar Shnong of Lower Lumparing and Laban organised the inauguration function of the newly constructed PWD motorable bridge and PWD RCC parking facilities at Mawnei Lower Lumparing and Streamlet Road, Laban on Saturday. The project has been sanctioned for Rs 80,00,000 and the scheme was planned, initiated and recommended South Shillong MLA Sanbor Shullai, a release issued here informed. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Sanbor Shullai expressed his sincere thanks to the land owners for donating their land free of cost and the PWD officials for their undeterred support in order to complete the projects. The function was addressed by Doncaster Shabong, Rangbah Shnong, Lower Lumparing in the presence of R Shabong, Secretary Shnong Lower Lumparing, FB Khongsit, President of Lumparing Sports Club, H Ryntathiang, Social Secretary of MCIC 19th South Shillong, W Nongbri, Secretary Dargah Shariff Caretaker Committee, Joy Rynjah, Secretary Dorbar Shnong Laban, Wanda Mylliemngap, President Seng Teilang ki Kynthei Laban, Shri Ricky Shullai, ex-MDC, Secretary RLSSCO, Engineers of PWD Rangbah Dong of both the Dorbar Shnong and other local leaders and residents of the area.

Seng Kur Wapung circle formed
JOWAI: The Sengkur Dkhar Wapung Circle in East Jaintia Hills District was formed during a clan meeting at Wapung Shnong Community Hall held on Saturday. A team of representative from the Ka Seng Kur Dkhar Central Body led by KB Dkhar and Hamjhan Dkhar were also present at the meeting. The newly elected officer bearers of the Wapung Circle were confirmed by the leaders of the central body. The Wapun Circle of the Seng Kur Dkhar comprises of Wapunghnong village, Wapungskur, Pamrakmai, Pamra-paithlu, Mookhep, Jalyiah, Khliehmyntriang, Iongkaluh, Iurim Khlieh shnong, Sohkymphor, Byrwai and Rashai. The newly elected office bearers of the Wapung Circle Seng Kur Dkhar included President Shaniahskhem Dkhar, Vice President Chawas Dkhar and Market Dkhar, General Secretary Kyrshanbha Dkhar, Assistant General Secretary Francis Dkhar and Shngainlang Dkhar, Finance Secretary Binis Dkhar, Treasurer Rosa Dkhar, Adviser MH Dkhar and Emmon Dkhar besides 15 Executive Members.
