Naveen Jain of Indian Bank, Shillong Branch lodged a complaint regarding a fake news/advertisement for recruitment of Sales Manager for Indian Bank, Shillong.
Drug peddler held
On July 24, Police arrested Electstrong Chullet, while peddling drugs at Moopala village East Jaintia Hills. Police recovered 0.74 grams of suspected heroin from his possession.
Theft
Askar Kharshandi lodged a complaint that on July 24 between 9.30 am and 3.30 pm, miscreants broke into his residence at Nongstoin, West Khasi Hills and stole cash Rs. 50,000, one gold ring and a pair of gold earrings.
Zakir Hussain lodged a complaint that between July 12 and 17, miscreants stole music system and one spare tyre from his Maruti car, which was parked at Jhalupara, Shillong.
Mob attempts to assault PHC doctor
Dr. N.A Khan, i/c PHC New Bhaitbari, West Garo Hills lodged a complaint that on July 18 around 11 am, Siddik Ali of Nalbari village, refused to pay OPD registration fee of Rs. 5 and created nuisance at the make shift PHC at New Bhaitbari, West Garo Hills. Following this, local residents (180/200) gathered at the PO and attempted to assault him. Police rushed to the spot and rescued him.
