SHILLONG: The All Meghalaya Dancer’s Association (AMDA) has congratulated 14 participants from the state for being selected to India Talent Fight while lashing out at some local representatives for not helping talents in their respective constituencies.
The AMDA extended its best wishes to Gabriel Mawlong (Upper Shillong), Boby Shangdiar (Mawsmai, Sohra Shella), Great Mary Langte (Nongnah, South West Khasi Hills), Jeffrey Nongsiej (Bhoi-Rymbong), Gary Kynshi Khar (Nongkasen), Lawanpynhun Nongsiej (Mawkyrwat), Rikupar Syiemlieh (Phutjaud Rangthong, South West Khasi Hills), Jusnolimit Beat Box Group (Mawlai Mawroh, Shillong), Nathan Laitphlang and Badapkupar Kurbah, Daiaphika Lymba, (War Jaintia Shnong-Pdeng), Kitborlang Khylait, Carmel Dohling (Sohra), Evanisha Pathaw (Mawlai Kynton Massar), Memellan Snaitang (Nongkenbah South West Khasi Hills).
The organisation informed that some of the participants will not be able to compete in the programme due to financial constraints. Discussions with their local representatives in this regard had proved futile.
The AMDA has condemned the lackadaisical attitude of the local representatives towards many people in their respective constituencies who are talented.
