Cultural event
Amra Hokkol Khati Sylheti, a Facebook group of the world’s Sylheti community, will organise ‘Sylheti Milonotsov-2019’ on Sunday at the Assam Club Auditorium in Laban. The group has also informed that the second session of the cultural event will begin at 5 pm and entry will be free.
Birth anniversary
Rabindranath Tagore Club, Laban will organise a programme celebrating the belated birth anniversary of Tagore on Sunday at U Soso Tham Auditorium from 3pm onwards. The prize distribution ceremony of the 12th Inter Shillong Cultural Event 2019 will also be held on the same day. Local MLA Sanbor Shullai will grace the programme as the chief guest along with Naba Bhattacharjee, president of CPC Meghalaya as the guest of honour. Other dignitaries include Ricky Shullai, JL Das and Santosh Kr. Das.
Meeting
The annual General body meeting of Laban Namghar will be held at 2:30pm on September 8 inside the Laban Namghar premises.
