CAG submits audit reports to state

SHILLONG: The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India has forwarded two audit reports to the state government, a statement issued here said.
The State Finances Audit Report of the CAG for the year ended March 31, 2018 pertaining to Meghalaya government which contains audit observations on matters arising from examination of Finance and Appropriation Accounts of the Government of Meghalaya has been forwarded on June 6.
The report on Revenue Sector of the CAG was handed over to the state government on August 23.
This contains the results of audit of receipts which included Sales Tax/VAT, State Excise, Taxes on Motor vehicles, stamp duty, registration fees and others.
