SHILLONG: The charter installation ceremony of Rotaract Club of Pine City Shillong was held at Rotary Club Shillong on Saturday.
The programme, which was hosted by Jennifer Suchiang and Sangam Pandey, saw the revival of the youth wing of Rotary Club of Shillong after 25 years. Continuous brainstorming sessions took place since 2016 to make the club a full-fledged youth wing club.
On the day, C.A. Ram Kyndiah was installed as the president and Adrija Dutta as the secretary, besides 25 members who were felicitated which included the board of directors and Skhemjingmut Law as the advisor of Rotaract Club of Pine City Shillong and Rotaract members.
The theme for the year 2019-2020 district 3240 was set as ‘Growth in Unit’, which aims at uniting young minds from diverse communities mainly focusing on progress, growth and development.
Others who were present included Rotary President Rotarian David T Umdor, Past District Governor Rotarian Manas Choudhury, District Governor Rotarian Debashish Das, District Rotaract Representative Rotaract Deepjyoti Das, Inner Wheel President Mukta Singla, President of Rotary Club of Orchid City Pradeep G Pilai among others well wishers.
