SHILLONG: The Khasi Hills Autonomous District (KHADC) MDCs from Congress have demanded that the KHADC Chief Executive Member (CEM), Teiñwell Dkhar, should summon the Syiem of Raid Marwet, alleging that he had issued No Objection Certificate (NOC) to Deilang Chirup Law.
It may be mentioned that there were allegations that Law wanted to sell off land to the Border Security Force (BSF) for establishment of Field Firing Range.
Moreover, the office of Syiem of Hima Mylliem on March 22 sought permission from the KHADC pertaining to issuance of NOC to Law.
The MDCs demanded that the EC should not issue an NOC as it will affect the Land Transfer Act.
