SHILLONG: Arts and Culture Minister AL Hek on Tuesday informed the House that Intensive Arts and Culture Development Programme (IACDP) and Development of Traditional Folk Music ( DTFM) schemes were continuing.
Congress MLA Winnerson D Sangma regretted that many MLAs from South West Garo Hills are yet to receive the scheme to which Hek replied that the Deputy Commissioner had not submitted the bank account details to the department and hence funds could not be sanctioned.
Leader of Opposition, Mukul Sangma, said that directions must be given to the DC to take action in this regard immediately.
Nongpoh MLA Mayralborn Syiem also said that the amount under the scheme should be increased from Rs 2.5  lakh to Rs 5  lakh.
