Heroin seized
On September 28, around 12.25 am, during ‘naka’ checking at Khliehriat, East Jaintia Hills, police detected Dhrubajyoti Nath while he was travelling from Silchar towards Guwahati in a night super bus (AS-01E-2956) and on searching 30.63 gram of suspected heroin was recovered found from his bag.

Ganja recovered
On September 28, around 2.15 am, during ‘naka’ checking at Khliehriat, East Jaintia Hills, police detected Rajesh Kumar, Dilip Ray and Sanjit Kumar, travelling from Silchar towards Guwahati in a night super bus (AS-24C-9988) and on searching the police recovered 18 kg ganja from their possession.

Yaba tablets found
On September 28, around 7.05 am, during a ‘naka’ checking at Khliehriat East Jaintia Hills, police detected an oil tanker (MN-01AA-0403) driven by Angombam Jam Kennedy travelling from Silchar towards Guwahati and during search, the police recovered a plastic gunny bag containing 10 number of sealed packets of ‘Yaba Tablets’ (tested positive for ‘Amphetamine’) from the oil tanker.

Assault
N. Bareh, President and secretary of VDP Sutnga village, East Jaintia Hills lodged a complaint that on September 26, around 6.30 pm, Sanki Lamurong assaulted Babelni Suchiang at Lum Sorkar, Dongiew Khyllaw Sutnga, East Jaintia Hills, causing grievous injuries to him. Following this incident, accused Sanki Lamurong was called to discuss the matter with the VDP. Instead, the accused threatened the VDP members with dire consequences.
Hunlang Merry Phawa lodged a complaint that on September 24, miscreants attacked her husband Md. Aftab Laskar with sharp weapons at Ladrymbai, East Jaintia Hills. As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was admitted to NEIGRIHMS.

Threatened
Daoshwa Sutnga lodged a complaint that on September 26 and 27 he received two anonymous letters, in which the complainant and his daughter were threatened with dire consequences. Further, the complainant stated that miscreants have placed strange/unusual things in the premises of his residence.

Burglary
Bari Akor Marweiñ, CFO, Co-Operative Milk Union Ltd., Central Dairy Campus, Mawiong Umjapung, Shillong lodged a complaint that on October 2, she learnt that miscreants broke into the above mentioned office, vandalised the rooms and also tampered the CCTV system. Further, Rs. 30,712 which was kept in the safe in the room of the Managing Director, was found missing.
Tracy Trevor Dorze Phanwar lodged a complaint that between September 28 and 29, miscreants broke into her office (Manbha Foundation) at Lower Lachumiere, Shillong and stole Rs. 70,000.

Cement bags stolen
Binapani Wahlang lodged a complaint that on September 26 night, miscreants stole four bags of cement from the store room of Ramakrishna Mission LP School at Jatap, East Khasi Hills.
