Traffic arrangement on funeral day

SHILLONG: The Office of the Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills has informed that temporary traffic arrangements have been made by the Shillong Traffic Police in the interest of public safety and convenience for attending the funeral service of Archbishop Dominic Jala at Cathedral, Laitumkhrah on Wednesday. The arrangement will be enforced from 6 am till withdrawn.
No entry points: Dhankheti Point towards Don Bosco Point and Don Bosco Point towards Dhankheti Point.
Parking arrangements
Light Motor Vehicles should park at Selesian Training Centre (Reserved), Don Bosco Technical School. (Reserved), Malki Play Ground, Christ King College Basketball Court, St. Mary’s School Campus, Moreao Institute of Integral Training, St. Anthony’s College Basketball Court, St. Margaret Compound, Loreto Convent School and St. Edmunds College Parking Lot.
Heavy Motor Vehicles coming from Laitkor side should park at Nongthymmai Play ground and Madan Iewrynghep ground. HMVs coming from Upper Shillong side should park at Bucher Road and vehicles coming from G.S Road via Mawlai – Phudmuri road should park at SRGT, Polo. The authorities have urged upon the public and commuters to park their vehicles in the designated parking lots as per arrangements and not at roadsides.
