JUD Cements power dues over Rs 5 crore

SHILLONG: The JUD Cements Pvt Ltd has to clear power dues of more than Rs 5 crore to the Meghalaya Power Distribution Corporation Limited (MePDCL).
The MePDCL has asked the company to immediately clear the pending dues of Rs 5,32,23,014. The current bill of September is Rs. 1,99,94,275 and the arrear on the bill of August is Rs 1 core. The shortfall of payment during previous month is Rs 2,32,28739.
In a notice issued to the company, the MePDCL Khliehriat said that the payment of the energy bill was due on October 25 and the date of disconnection of power supply was on October 26.
