Ri-Khain Autumn Fest on Nov 1

NONGSTOIN: West Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner T Lyngwa informed that the Ri-Khain Autumn Festival will be held on November 1 and 2 at Markham village.
Ri-Khain is a newly explored tourist destination in West Khasi Hills located near Lawbyrtun in Kynshi. The place has attracted both local and international tourist.
The festival will include many events, activities and programmes such as indigenous food fests, exhibitions, vegetable and flower shows, fishing competitions, angling delight, photography competitions along with a seminar, paragliding, drawing, chilly, mawpoint and archery competitions, horse riding, cycling stunt, baby show, kite flying, Miss Wah Kynshi & Mr. Lumkyllang, music, fashion shows, DJs and others.
The  DC also stated that individuals interested in participating in any of the events can submit their names and details at the office of the SDO of Civil, Mairang Civil Sub-Division.
