Ramakrishna Chitturi who functioning as the SDO was suddenly given transfer order to Tura while he was barely 7 or 8 months into his posting. He was replaced by Syed Fakhrudin Hamid who has also joined his new posting. Earlier, several organisations had also gheraoed the Sub Divisional office and stopped the official from taking charge.
“We are opposed to Chitturi’s transfer as he has been doing a very good job for the Sub Division. We will do everything we can to bring him back and we want the government to take notice,” the ADSPM said.
