Over Rs 8 lakh spent under discretionary grants

SHILLONG: The monitoring-cum-implementation committee of South Shillong constituency has extended financial help to 71 beneficiaries for a total of Rs 8,04,902.
The beneficiaries include BPL families and students, medical treatment for fire victims, cancer patients, disabled, landslide victims, religious committees, school and college committees, sports, social, cultural clubs, Dorbar Shnongs, NGOs, self-employment for widows among others under discretionary grants.
