Man assaults mother
Luigina Laloo of Iawmusiang Main Road, Jowai in West Jaintia Hills lodged a complaint that on January 7 around 12 am, her son identified as Gregory C Laloo came home, created trouble, assaulted her and also threatened her with a blade, when she refused to give him money.
Miscreants mug, injure one
Akhirul Islam of Bhimkoj village under Lakhipur PS, Goalpara in Assam lodged a complaint that on December 22, 2019 around 9.30 pm, following persons namely Osmon Goni, Shajahan Ali, Momiz Khan, Hasun Ali, Doyal Mollah and ten others, assaulted him at Jugirjhar village (West Garo Hills) causing grievous injuries to him and that they also snatched cash of Rs 55,000 from him.

Kyrshan Chullet, headman of Priang village, West Jaintia Hills lodged a complaint that on January 3 around 9 pm, Hamran Lyngdoh threatened Burom Lamurong with dire consequences.
Three held in GH
On January 2 evening, Resubelpara Police apprehended three persons namely- Toseng Sangma (20), Rimbin M Sangma (18) and Rakat M Sangma (18) from different places under Resubelpara Police Station.
