KHADC approves deficit budget of Rs 29,000

 Shillong: The Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) approved a deficit budget of Rs 29,000 for the 2012-2013 fiscal, during the ongoing budget session on Monday.

The estimate, which was tabled on the inaugural day of the budget session, had indicated a total plan expenditure at Rs 92,44,04,520 while the total revenue was pegged at Rs 92,43,75,580, a deficit of Rs 28,940.

As per the budget estimates for the current fiscal year, the estimated expenditures for the different departments are – Administrative Department (Rs 14,50,99,810), Law department (Rs 32,56,680), Revenue Budget and Finance Department (Rs 3,52,15,470), Forest Department (Rs 37,91,790 from Plan and Rs 4,22,94,480 from Non-Plan), Administration of Justice & Judicial (Rs 1,86,57,480), Legislative Department (Rs 2,71,16,650), Education Department (Rs 20,25,900 ), Civil Works & Development Department (Rs 6,60,94,770) and Enforcement Scheme for Protection of Tribal Land and Interest (Rs 2,53,63,100).
