Conference to discuss pending demands

SHILLONG: The Meghalaya SSA School Association (MSSASA), All Garo Hills Unit, will hold its first annual general conference and will discuss various demands made by the association from the state government.
The conference will be held on Friday and Saturday at Raksamgre New Multi-Facility Hall Raksamgre Civil Sub-Division, West Garo Hills (WGH) District.
A statement issued on Tuesday said that the conference will hold discussions on matters concerning to arrear of financial year 2016-17 and also on maternity leave.
Discussion on reports “which include the letter received from the State Project Director, SEMAM (SSA) in response to our demand  to merge all the 5814 lower primary and 6727 upper primary  SSA teachers existing in position from State Implementation Society (SEMAM) with Education Department on regular basis in accordance with the RTE SSA norms 2009” will also be held.
The conference will also hold discussions on reply received from MHRD, DSE&L, on the clarification sought by the association on the Project Approval Board (PAB) Minutes 2019-20 for the state related to posts of SSA teachers of lower primary and upper primary.
D.EI.Ed result anomalies of the first batch (2015-17) and second batch (2015-17) will be disclosed and discussed, and office-bearers for MSSASA will also be elected.
The conference will also hold talks on letter received by the association from MBOSE on the petition to MBOSE for Class 12 improvement exams for in-service teachers.
Leaders from MSSASA-Central Body, viz. Aristotle C Rymbai (president) and Ralbingland L Nonglait (general secretary) and other CEC members will attend the conference.
The Association has requested all the lower primary and upper primary SSA teachers from the districts of Garo Hills to attend the conference.
