SHILLONG: An eight-year-old girl was found dead in Nongalbibra Shiv temple, in South Garo Hills on Friday.
Police informed that the suspects including the temple priest are being interrogated.
The cause of death of the minor girl is due to strangulation, the police added.
The body has been sent for postmortem. Probe is on to ascertain any rape angle.
“Investigation is going on. Crime scene unit was requisitioned and the crime scene is preserved”, the police added.
