SHILLONG: Questioning the state government for not stockpiling personal protective equipment (PPE) for the healthcare workers, the Meghalaya Pradesh Youth Congress (MPYC) has raised the demand to bring in more PPE for the healthcare workers.
In a statement, MYPC president Richard Marak said, “Why did the government ignore WHO’s recommendation and not stockpile necessary equipment such as masks, hazmat suits and ventilators? It is inhuman and dangerous. The N95 masks should be immediately supplied to the healthcare workers and even disinfectant agents are reported to be not supplied yet”.
