SHILLONG: The state government has assisted many workers in Shillong to reach their destinations within the state.
Meghalaya Transport Corporation (MTC) has arranged several buses for the last two days to transport the labourers to many parts of the state.
Before transportation, doctors carried out health check-up of the workers.
While as many as 549 workers were screened on Sunday, over 100 were tested on Monday at the MTC office.
The workers were transported in four buses after the MTC officials put indelible Ink on their fingers for identification.
A restaurant owner from Polo said he had seven workers from Garo Hills and they were sent on Monday.
